Only 100 m away – at Tobiaspark – you will find the first playground equipment. Continue through the pedestrian zone “Lange Strasse”, via the Wallgang to the Lippepark, where a large playground awaits. A variety of equipment is sure to challenge your children here.

When the weather is nice, it’s especially fun to romp around the former state garden show grounds and discover the area around Lake Horstmar. You can also try your hand at disc golf there.

At Zeche Zollern in Dortmund you can see what life in the Ruhr must have been like in the old days. The industrial museum with its winding tower invites you to explore.

The Henrichenburg Ship’s Hoist (16 km) was once the hub of inland shipping and a witness to the region’s industrial heyday. Now it is a museum and a candidate for UNESCO World Heritage status. The museum and the large playground are great places to explore for and with children.
