Got a cold or hungover? We will be happy to tell you which pharmacy is open nearby. You can find an overview of the emergency pharmacies here. If you need a doctor, please contact the reception.
Lünen main station and the ZOB are just a few minutes’ walk away. Trains stop here to Dortmund (approx. 15 min.), Münster (approx. 40 min.) and Enschede in the Netherlands. You can find the connections at www.bahn.de or in the DB app.
For quick cash, ATMs of all major banks (Targobank, Volksbank, Deutsche Bank, Postbank, Commerzbank & Sparkasse) are only a few minutes’ walk away. We will be happy to give you directions at the reception.

Due to the excellent location of the hotel in the city centre, you already have various shopping opportunities around our hotel. Only a few steps away is the pedestrian zone with the shopping street “Lange Straße” with numerous owner-managed shops, but also large chains. When shopping, make sure to support the traders of the City Ring Lünen e.V., which is committed to a lively city centre.
In case of emergency, please remain calm and follow the instructions of the hotel staff. You will find the escape plan in your room and in the corridors. Please go directly to the assembly point, which is located outside directly at the Persiluhr.
Whether you want to go to work, discover Lünen and the surrounding area or have a picnic in the Lippe meadows – you can rent bicycles from the bicycle station at the station and store them in our covered bicycle garage free of charge. At the reception, we will gladly give you a city map including bicycle routes on top.
Hanging things, especially clothes, outside the window is not permitted. In addition, food and drinks may not be placed in front of the window. Danger of falling! They also attract pigeons and crows.
On your TV you receive numerous TV programmes, both national and international. All free of charge.
Dortmund Airport is located approx. 22 km from the hotel. Düsseldorf airport is approx. 82 km away. We would be happy to organise a taxi for you to one of the airports. Düsseldorf airport is also easily accessible by train (www.bahn.de).
The hair is not dry yet or you feel like a blow-dry? You will find a hairdryer in the cupboard.

Our lounge or terrace is the ideal place for a cool after-work beer, selected aperitifs and digestifs or a glass of wine on weekdays until around 9.30 pm. You are also welcome to take the drinks to your room.
Please leave used towels to dry exclusively in the bathroom on the radiators provided. If your towel is dirty or wet and you would like to have it replaced, simply place it on the tiled floor in the bathroom. We will then take care of fresh towels!
Hanging wet towels or wet clothes on the chairs, doors or other wooden surfaces is prohibited, as the wood and furniture will be damaged by the moisture.
For hygienic reasons and because more and more people are plagued by allergies, pets are unfortunately no longer allowed in our hotel.
The internet is free of charge here at the Hotel An der Persiluhr. Simply connect to the strongest Persiluhr network in your room. You will receive the current password for the WLAN at the reception. Please note that you share the internet connection with all other guests of the hotel. So if it should be unusually slow at times, we ask for your understanding.
Training for the next marathon or would you rather just go for a short run? Handy maps of the surrounding area with various jogging routes are available for you at the reception. Well then, let’s go!
For ecological reasons, we have decided against air conditioning in our hotel. If it is too hot for you in summer, we will be happy to provide you with a fan in your room on request. Please simply ask at the reception desk. In the cold months, you can simply use the heating system, the temperature of which you can regulate yourself. By the way: we heat with low-CO2 district heating.
Of course, you can have your documents copied at the reception for a fee of € 0.70 per page. For colour copies, we will be happy to recommend a copy shop nearby.
You can enter and leave our hotel at any time via the front door in the stairwell. You can easily get in with the red transponder on your room key.
In-house parking spaces are available free of charge subject to availability. Use of the parking spaces is at your own risk. We accept no liability for any damage. Please note the restrictions regarding the weight (max. 2000 kg) and height of your vehicle.
If the “Do not disturb” sign is hanging on the outside of your door, we will let you sleep in. Please note that your room will not be cleaned then.
Our hotel is generally a smoke-free zone! Smoking in the rooms – also at the windows -, bathrooms and public areas of the hotel will incur a charge of € 250 for additional cleaning. You are welcome to sit on the bench in front of the house to smoke.
If you prefer to stay dry in bad weather, you can borrow an umbrella at the reception.
A light in the room is broken or something else is not working properly? Please let us know immediately at reception so that we can fix the problem as soon as possible.
The reception is staffed on weekdays from 7.00 to 11.00 and from 16.00 to 21.30. However, we can always be reached by phone via the room telephone at ⑨ or you can call us directly on your mobile phone at +49 2306 70090.
At the Lippe-Bad (only 350 m away) you can swim from morning to night. A total of five different pool areas await you there.
Small snacks and drinks can be purchased at fair prices at the reception. For ecological reasons, we do not have a minibar in the rooms. Food, drinks & snacks brought along may only be consumed in the room and not in the public area. This also includes the area in front of the hotel. We kindly ask you to take this into consideration!
The nearest supermarkets Kaufland (Google Maps) and Rewe (Google Maps) are only about 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
There are several petrol stations within a radius of 2 km, some of which are open around the clock.
For an outside telephone line, please dial “0” first and then the telephone number. We charge € 0.30 for the telephone units. To reach other rooms, please dial the corresponding room number.

The current schedules for the theatre in Lünen and other theatres in the area are available at the reception. We will gladly try to organise the desired tickets for you. Please note that almost all plays are in German.
If your clothes need to be cleaned, please contact the reception. We have been working with a reliable dry cleaner from Lünen for many years. You will find laundry bags in the wardrobe. If you need an ironing board or iron, please contact reception.
The hotel tap water can be drunk with full enjoyment without hesitation.
There is a locker in the wardrobe for valuables. You can get the key at the reception.
You are welcome to pay your bill in cash or by card. We accept the following cards: Maestro, Girocard, VISA, Mastercard and American Express.
You were in a hurry while packing and forgot your toothbrush? No problem. We have a small supply for you at the reception.
Our rooms are available from 5.00 pm on the day of arrival and until 11.00 am on the day of departure. Please note that you can generally arrive until 10.00 pm. Late arrivals are only possible by arrangement. For arrivals after 23:00 hrs we charge 20,00 €/room, from 0:00 hrs additionally 25,00 €/room per half hour or part thereof.
Departure times: 07:30 – 11:00. If you need a little more sleep, a late check-out the day before can be arranged with the reception. Depending on availability, we will try our best. You are welcome to leave your luggage at the reception until your departure.

If something went wrong or needs to be fixed immediately, we have an open ear at the reception, either in person or by email to reception@persiluhr.de.
Due to the current situation, our restaurant is currently closed.
Our restaurant is open from Monday to Friday (except public holidays) from 16:00 to 21:30. You will also find numerous other restaurants within walking distance in the city centre.
On the 1st floor of the hotel there is a small but nice sauna available until 22.00 hrs. You can use this for
8,- € per person. Please reserve the sauna at least 30 minutes in advance at the reception. Additional towels and various pleasant infusions are available for you in the sauna room.
If the taxi rank in front of the hotel is deserted, you can order a taxi directly via your telephone or contact our reception staff. For long journeys, it is advisable to book in advance.
